Blue Dart Managing director Anil Khanna said that the company was currently undertaking a study to find out whether connectivity to these destinations was viable since its parent DHL was already operating in the international air express segment.

Khanna told reporters here today that Blue Dart was also keen to have a road connectivity to Pakistan to carry freight.

Blue Dart today announced opening up of the India-Bangladesh trade lane for handling shipments passing through the Petrapole border.

Khanna said that the company had earmarked an investment of Rs 200 crore during 2008 for developing infrastructure.

He said that the company was in the process of acquiring a Boeing freighter this year to increase air capacity.

Blue Dart currently has six Boeing freighters operating across seven metros of the country.
Surface express contributes only 10 per cent to Blue Dart' revenues, rest it gets from air express.
