Blue Dart Express, a leading distribution and logistics company and as part of the DHL Group, has launched DHL’s value added service, Shippers Interest Insurance (SII).

This service is available to all customers for both inbound and outbound international shipments and comes with arrangement of an insurance cover that protects the customers’ financial interests in the event of a loss or damage of their goods or shipment due to an external cause, which is underwritten by Tata AIG General Insurance Company (Tata AIG). The SII covers items in transit worldwide. The service is currently not available to Cuba, North Korea, Libya and Iraq.

Ketan Kulkarni, head-marketing, corporate communications & sustainability, Blue Dart Express, said: “We understand the critical nature of many shipments going long distances, which have a large value attached to them. This service allows the customer to relax while his shipment gets transported to its destination anywhere in the world.”

As part of the DHL Group, Blue Dart's logistics network covers over 220 countries and offers distribution services, including air express, freight forwarding supply chain solutions and customs clearance.
