Blue Dart net rises 50% to Rs 8.34 cr

Net profit at Blue Dart Express for the quarter ended June 30, 2004 jumped 50.27 per cent to Rs 8.34 crore against Rs 5.55 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
 
Income from operations rose 22 per cent to Rs 99.79 crore. Profit after tax was at Rs 13.23 crore (Rs 8.66 crore). Clyde Cooper, managing director, Blue Dart Express said: " Blue Dart has enhanced capacity by investing in further facilities and has strengthened its aviation infrastructure with a fourth aircraft induction and the addition of Hyderabad as the sixth hub on its aviation network. This investment has already begun to yield results with higher volumes through our network. The new aviation hub reinforces Blue Dart's leadership and further consolidates the advantages ensured to Blue Dart's customers through its unique infrastructure and unmatched standards of service quality."
