Blue Star Q4 net up 26% at Rs 88 cr

Industrial cooling products and air conditioning systems Blue Star is registered a consolidated net profit increase of 26 per cent for the quarter-ending March 31, 2009 to touch Rs 88 crore as compared to Rs 70 crore in the corresponding quarter last financial year. 

The revenue for the fourth quarter too increased by  2.4 per cent to touch Rs 725 crore as compared to Rs 708 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. 

As for sequential growth (compared to the trailing quarter), the company's net profit increase was 175 per cent and revenue growth was 28 per cent. 

For the full year, the company's net profit growth at Rs 180 crore showed an increase of 3.4 per cent over FY08 at Rs 174 crore. Its revenues grew 15 per cent at Rs 2559 crore as compared to Rs 2233 crore a year ago.

Segment wise, the company's cooling products department recorded a 4 per cent dip in revenuers at Rs 163 crore compared to Rs 170 crore for the corresponding quarter a year ago.

Its electro mechanical projects and packaged air conditioning systems division saw a meager 2 per cent growth at Rs 513 crore.

However, the professional electronics and industrial systems grew 33 per cent to Rs 48 crore as compared to Rs 36 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
