Blue Star rejigs top brass for biz continuity

As part of a process of organisational development and succession planning, Blue Star has announced a number of forthcoming top management organisational changes, which will come into effect from July 1.

Ashok Advani will be redesignated as executive chairman, while Suneel Advani will continue as vice-chairman and managing director. Satish Jamdar, deputy MD, will be promoted as managing director, while TGS Babu will continue as deputy managing director.

Avinash Pandit will continue as president of the electro-mechanical projects group, while B Thiagarajan will be promoted as president, channel business group. Vir Advani will be promoted as president, corporate affairs and special projects.

 

Explaining the top-level shuffle, Ashok Advani said, “My brother Suneel and I have been grooming a younger team of capable professionals over the last couple of years and have been progressively moving out of the day-to-day operations so that we can devote ourselves to broader issues, such as planning and guiding the future of the company, organisational development, allocation of resources and monitoring of business performance.”
