In the wake of turbulent times in the airline industry with burgeoning fuel costs eating up almost 40 per cent of operating costs for some carriers,this initiative is a step in the right direction for the industry. Airlines are seeking innovative methods to reduce operating costs by improving efficiencies in other internal areas of the business.
