German luxury car maker BMW today launched two new variants under the 3 series Sedan category-- BMW 330i and BMW320d.

The price (ex-showroom Chennai) has been fixed at Rs 33.40 lakh for the BMW 330i version and Rs 23.95 lakh for BMW320d corporate edition, BMW India President Peter Kronschnabl said.

The new 320d corporate edition (Diesel) and the BMW 330i (petrol) were variants of the best selling BMW 3 Series Sedan, he said.

Manufactured at the Chennai plant, the cars would be available across 17 dealerships in the country, he added.

Kronschnabl said the company would raise the number of dealerships to 22 this year with new outlets in cities like Goa, Indore and Ludhiana over the next few weeks.

To a query, he said that the company hopes to maintain its double digit growth this year also. "In 2008 we sold 2,908 cars which grew by 24 per cent in 2009 to 3,619."

Declining to comment on sales target for new variants this year, he told PTI that the company's growth would be driven by the corporate edition.

"Though 330i is available now, we think our growth will be driven by the Corporate edition variant. We hope we will be able to sell couple of hundreds of the car (corporate edition)," he said.
