Bongaigaon FY06 net drops 63%

Bongaigaon Refinery & Petrochemicals (BRPL) today reported a 63% decline in net profit at Rs 174.76 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006 when compared with Rs 478.30 crore in FY05.

According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, total income increased to Rs 5,674.02 crore in FY06 from Rs 4,570.39 crore in FY05.

The company posted a net profit of Rs 30.65 crore in Q4FY06 as against Rs 51.55 crore in Q4FY05. Total income increased to Rs 1,490.72 crore from Rs 1,232.33 crore in Q4FY05.

The board has recommended a dividend of Rs 2.70 per equity share of Rs 10 each for FY06, the release added.
