Bosch strike enters second day: Conciliation meeting on Sept 20

The production at the Bangalore plant has come to a standstill and only administrative work is carried out

An indefinite strike at Bangalore plant of Bosch Limited entered the second day today as both the management and Mico Employees Association (MEA), the official trade union at Bosch, failed to arrive at any understanding. The strike started from the first shift on Tuesday as 2,600 workmen went on strike in demand for wage renewal.

The production at the Bangalore plant has come to a standstill and only administrative work is carried out by the management staff, a company spokesperson said.

Meanwhile, additional labour commissioner has convened a conciliatory meeting on September 20, 2014on September 20, 2014 to resolve the issue between the Management and Union. "We are looking forward to arrive at an amicable settlement during the meeting," the spokesperson said.
