Auto component maker Bosch is planning to invest Rs 100 crore to ramp up capacity at Jaipur plant, the company's only V E distributor pump manufacturing facility in the country.
It is part of the Rs 2,000 crore investment that the company has lined up for the next two years. Bosch Jaipur facility head Ashok Abraham said that the fresh infusion will help the company scale up its production capacity of 1,800 pumps per day to over 2,000 pumps per day.
"We are not able to meet the rising demand of distributor pumps. We have to source these pumps from our other such facilities in Brazil, Germany, China and Japan. After ramping up, we would be able to add 75,000 pumps every year," he said.
