Bose Corporation enters Pune

Audio technology leader Bose Corporation strengthened its presence in western India as it launched 22nd retail store in the country here on Tuesday. The store will showcase the entire range of Bose Corporation products like Bose Lifestyle systems, wave systems, speaker systems along with various multimedia and digital sound offerrings.

The company, best known for its acoustic noise cancelling headset, has operations in 18 countries with a turn over of $2.5 billion. It has more than 400 products, which are manufactured at five locations, two each in USA and Mexico while one in Ireland.

Speaking to reporters, Bose Corporation India general manager Ratish Pandey said, "Despite of recession, Bose Corporation has not seen any impact on its sales in India as well as in other countries. We service the premium market and we continue to grow in India as scheduled." He howevere expressd concerns over reat estate rates in prominent Indian cities, which might affect the company's growth plans.

 

Bose Corporation already has stores in cities like Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Gurgaon, Gaziabad, Mumbai, Jaipur, Kolkata and Ludhiana. The company has recently done a sound system installation at Hyderabad international airport while it has major hotels in India and Europe as its clients. "We are not addressing the cinema hall segment in India as this is a low-cost market. We are also looking at Indian automobile players as our potential clients," Pandey added.
