Bose to add 15 showrooms

Bose Corporation expects to increase its distribution network to 24 showrooms by 2008 from nine stores at present.
 
On the sidelines of launching Bose AL8 homewide wireless audio link, Ratish Pandey, general manager, told Business Standard, "Moving forward, the share from home entertainment systems division, which accounts to 55 per cent of the turnover will increase to 70 per cent in the next three years."
 
The professional systems division, provides acoustics systems for a large spaces such as the hospitality sector, large corporates contributes 45 per cent at present.
 
We will be adding four more stores "" one in Delhi, two in Kolkata, one each in Pune and Kochi by the end of the current fiscal, he added.
 
Bose Corporation owns all the showrooms in Delhi, Gurgaon, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and two stores in Mumbai and Bangalore.
 
When asked about the investments the company will make in the showrooms, Pandey said that the Bose Corporation as a policy does not disclose financial details as it is a privately held company.
 
Pandey said under the home entertainment division, Delhi is the largest revenue garner for the company. However, Bangalore and Mumbai are fast catching up with the capital city of the country.
 
The professional systems division's growth is driven by five-star hotels, hospitals, software and information technology enabled services sector.
 
The Bose AL8 wireless audio link allows audio to be heard wirelessly in eight rooms in a house. This system also provides dual stream transmission, which means that two different audio music can be heard by two different people in separate rooms of the same home.
 
The company has also introduced Bose Cinemate, a speaker system to add home theatre sound to their televisions and DVD players. The Cinemate is priced at Rs 32,900.
