BPCL consortium bags oil block in Oman

Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) in consortium with Oilex of Australia (as Operator), Videocon, GAIL and HPCL has been awarded on-land exploration block No. 56 by the Sultanate of Oman.

According to a release issued by BPCL to the BSE today, the block was awarded by the Sultanate of Oman in its 2005 bidding round. The company's share in the block is 12.5%.
