<b>BPCL Q1:</b> Consol net loss at Rs 537.9 cr

Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) has posted a 79% increase in consolidated net loss for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 at Rs 537.9 crore when compared with a net loss of Rs 300.9 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005.

According to an official release issued by BPCL to the BSE today, total income has increased to Rs 23056.9 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 from Rs 17308 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005.
