State-run Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) today reported a net profit of Rs 614.12 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2009.
The company had a net loss of Rs 1,066.7 crore in the same quarter last year, BPCL said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The total income has decreased to Rs 26,195.6 crore in the latest quarter, against Rs 3,9297.7 crore in the same period last year.
Shares of BPCL closed at Rs 463 on the BSE, up 2.75 per cent from its previous close.
