Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL), signed an MOU with MoneyGram International's agent Airwings Services to offer International money transfer service in India from its select Retail Outlets. The alliance supports MoneyGram's network expansion plans in India and also enables BPCL to offer services to its customers.
MoneyGram - global payment services company - now will have approximately 100 of BPCL outlets by March 2009 in its network across the country in the first phase that offer the Moneygram money transfer service in India. Inward remittances company MoneyGram International plans to expand its base in the Tier II and Tier III cities in a big way in the next few years.
To receive money via MoneyGram International in India, the receiver can simply walk into any MoneyGram agent location, complete a simple Receive Form and show a valid photo identification to receive funds in as little as ten minutes, subject to agent availability and hours of operation.

MoneyGram International money transfer service is approved by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and has been available in India for more than eight years. Moneygram has recently invested more resources in the Indian market and introduced special pricing on transactions received into the country.
