Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) has introduced online customer service facility for its 1.4 million customers in Mumbai and Thane on Friday, December 21.

BPCL has launched a similar online facility after its pilot facility in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. The "book gas refill online" facility has also been extended to Kolkata and Chennai.

Currently, BPCL has about 15 million LPG customers and it proposes to extend this facility in a phased manner to all its customers across the country wherever internet connectivity has been established, according to a press release.

The customer will be able to create a login ID and password during the time of registration so as to have ready access information and to interact online. This facility will also enable customers to suggest preferred time and day of refill delivery, track the delivery status of their refill bookings and access past orders, the release added.

Besides this, BPCL will provide value-added services for customers such as voluminous receipt section, household hints, health and beauty tips, LPG safety and conservation information and feedback system. The registered customer will also get automated reminders for his refill cylinder based on past consumption as well as reminder for rubber tube change for LPG cylinders.
