BPL promoters pledge 34.21% stake

Diversified product manufacturer BPL today said its four promoters have pledged 1.65 crore shares representing 34.21 per cent stake in the company.

In a disclosure to the Bombay Stock Exchange, BPL said Electro Investments, one of the promoters of the company, has pledged 1.24 crore shares representing a 25.66 per cent stake in the firm.

Further, the company's another promoter entity Merino Finance has also pledged 21.05 lakh shares, which represents 4.34 per cent stake in BPL.

Besides, two other promoters -- Nambiar International Investment Company and E R Computers -- have pledged remaining 20.42 crore shares representing 4.21 per cent stake in the company.

 

Shares of BPL closed at Rs 16.90, up 4.97 per cent on the BSE today.
