Industrialist Jamshyd Godrej, chairman, Godrej & Boyce, believes that Britain's historic vote last week to opt out of the European Union (EU) will not change anything for his company and business.
"Brexit should be viewed as an isolated incident. It is too early to come to any conclusion. I don't think anything changes because of it," he said.
The engineering-to-consumer-durables major, which achieved a turnover of Rs 10,000 crore in 2015-16, has expanded the scope of its tie-up with UK-based company Sure Chill.

Godrej & Boyce had entered into a tie-up with Sure Chill last year which saw it offering solutions in medical refrigeration with technology support from Sure Chill. Both the companies will now be offering affordable solutions in the area of vaccine and blood storage. Prospective customers include hospitals, nursing homes and pharmaceutical companies.
Godrej & Boyce, will manufacture, market and distribute the products, hopes to touch Rs 200 crore from this operation in four years. The products will also be exported abroad as part of the arrangement with Sure Chill. "We are already exporting (this range) to 10 countries and it will be taken to more markets," Godrej said. In an earlier conversation, Godrej had said that the firm exported 15 per cent of what it produced. He had also said that the plan was to expand in-house manufacturing capacity to India operations to turn it into an export hub.
The company, for the record, counts defence, aerospace and energy apart from engineering and consumer goods as its key verticals.
As regards medical refrigeration business, the plan is to increase manufacturing capacity to 30,000 units from 10,000 units in two years. Currently one plant in Mumbai takes care of manufacturing needs in medical refrigeration. The company plans to add one more unit to the list.
