Infopark Kochi is the IT Park developed by the Government of Kerala. For the project, the government has transferred 100 acres of land which is now under the ownership and possession of Infoparks Kerala, an independent society owned by the state government.

"We have just won the bid and it is under the planning stages to determine the cost of the project. The built-up area is likely to be around four to five lakh sq feet of IT office space and Brigade will co-develop the space along with InfoPark, Kochi," a senior Brigade company official said.

IT office project investment in Kochi is part of the company's expansion plans in South India. The company all these years had been concentrating only in Bangalore and Mysore, catering to IT and BPO sectors.

"This is for the first time we are expanding our base after having gained sufficient knowledge and expertise in handling a large number of domestic and global firms as our clients," the official said.

Recently, the company got the final approval for its IT/ITeS SEZ at Mangalore. The project is to build ITTeS SEZ on a 25-acre plot allotted by the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) at Ganjimutt in Mangalore. The project has 2.1 million square feet of developable area.
