Britannia Md Sunil Alagh To Step Down

The Nusli Wadia group company Britannia Industries could see a change in top management as Sunil Alagh, the current managing director and chief executive, will be stepping down from the board of the Bangalore-based foods company.

In a statement issued to the media, the company said Alagh is not seeking to extent his tenure as managing director when it expires in February 2004.

The issue will be taken up by the board of directors at its next meeting to be held in early June 2003. Alagh, 55 joined the biscuits company in December 1974 from Jagatjit Industries, where he was product manager-marketing services, and is credited with Britannia
