Britannia Q2 net up 129% to Rs 48cr

Britannia, maker of popular biscuits like Good Day and 50:50, has posted a 129% increase (more than double) in its net profit at Rs 48.5 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 (Q2FY08) when compared with Rs 21.2 crore in Q2FY07.

The company's sales increased 20.4% this quarter.

According to an official release issued by the company to the BSE today, its total income has increased to Rs 664.6 crore for the quarter from Rs 552 crore for Q2FY07.
