BRPL Q4 net zooms 192%, declares 60% dividend

Bongaigaon Refinery & Petrochemicals (BRPL) has posted a 192% surge in net profit at Rs 51.55 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 17.66 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal. Total income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 834.79 crore in Q4-04 to Rs 1232.33 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005.

BRPL has reported a 57% jump in net profit at Rs 478.30 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 303.74 crore in FY04. Total income (net of excise)has increased from Rs 2950.28 crore in FY-04 to Rs 4570.39 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005.

According to a release issued by BRPL to the BSE, the board of directors of the company has recommended a final dividend of 60% (i.e. Rs 6/- per equity share of Rs 10/- fully paid up) amounting to Rs 119.89 crore for the year 2004-05.
