Sindhuja Rajamaran, a 14-year-old girl from Chennai, has become the youngest chief executive officer (CEO) in the country. A ninth-standard student of Velammal Matriculation School, Rajamaran has taken over as the CEO of Seppan Entertainment Pvt Ltd.
The post was created by her mentor, Kumaran Mani, CEO of 10th Planet Technology, to honour her skill and speed in animation, says Sindhuja’s father, a retired health inspector and a cartoonist.
“I started learning animation when I was in sixth standard. The first three works in 2D were service-oriented and are available on YouTube,” Sindhuja says.
“I am proud to be an animator. The CEO is just a post given in this company. I am learning more to make myself worthy of the post. Age is no bar for animation. Anybody can do it,” she says.
“On seeing her skills, we even sent her work to the Guinness Book of world records. She completed a three-minute animation output in 10 hours. The work would have taken at least 15 days for five animators,” her father says. Sindhuja is awaiting the assessment of her work for the record.
