Parvathy Ullatil received the 2003 Business Standard-Seema Nazareth Award for Excellence in Print Media. The award was given by R.S.Pathak, former Chief Justice of India, at a function held here on Saturday. |

This award is a recognition of the hard work that Ullatil has put in to hone her skills and the celebration of her promise," the citation read. |
Ullatil works in the Mumbai office of Business Standard and is a member of the corporate bureau. She joined the newspaper eight months ago after passing out of the Asian College of Journalism, Chennai. |
While addressing the gathering, Justice Pathak said: "Never before in the history of the media has the world offered so much to the young scribe in terms of professional opportunity and achievement, of objective and exciting involvement and of satisfaction and fulfillment. Seldom has the possession of character, integrity and self-discipline counted so much." |
The award recognises excellence in print journalism and is given every year to journalists below 25 years of age. Apart from a citation, it carries a cash reward of Rs 25,000. This was the fifth edition of the award. |
