BSES clocks an electrifying 133% net rise

 Total income rose by 8.61 per cent to Rs 808.50 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2003 against Rs 744.35 crore for the corresponding period of the previous year.

 Net electricity sales, however, fell by 4.17 per cent to Rs 619.98 crore from Rs 646.96 crore.

 BSES, which has decided to announce a dividend every quarter, announced a dividend of Rs 1 a share for this quarter.

 The company posted a 41 per cent rise in net profit for the half year ended September 30, 2003 to Rs 173 crore against Rs 123 crore for the corresponding period of the previous year.
