BSNL net crosses Rs 10,000cr in FY05

Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL) has earned over Rs 10,000 crore as net profit in financial year 2004-05 on a turnover of Rs 36,000 crore.

"We registered a turnover of Rs 36,000 crore in FY05 - an increase of Rs 2,000 crore from the previous financial year. We have paid a dividend of Rs 1,175 crore," A K Sinha, CMD of BSNL, said.

BSNL had paid a dividend of Rs 281 crore last fiscal, he added.
