Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) today launched its mobile services, CellOne, in Karnataka and has set a target of 2 lakh subscribers by March 2003.
The project executed at a cost of Rs 154 crore by Motorala on a turnkey basis covers the southern states Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala apart from Karnataka.
K Padmanabhan, chief general manager for telecom, said apart from competitive tariffs, CellOne will offer host of value-added services including free roaming facility in south zone for pre-paid subscribers.

Karnataka chief minister S M Krishna launched the mobile service. The pre-paid service, Excel, will commence from November which will be followed by the post-paid service by December.
