These software solutions include BI platforms advanced analytics platforms, analytic applications and corporate performance management (CPM) software.
The growth is expected to gain momentum as Indian enterprises start actively adopting machine learning techniques and smart data discovery solutions, it added. "The BI and analytics market is undergoing significant change. Adoption of machine learning techniques, and the emergence of smart data discovery solutions are fueling next round of investments," said Bhavish Sood, research director at Gartner.
"The way traditional enterprise business intelligence solutions such as SAP were disrupted by data discovery solutions like Tableau, Qlik, Microsoft Power BI, the data discovery solution market is being disrupted by smart data discovery solution. These solutions, such as IBM Watson and DataRPM, use artificial intelligence, machine learning and natural language processing to empower consumers to turn into data scientists."
While enterprise BI still makes up for the major chunk of the BI software market and mega vendors including IBM, Microsoft and Oracle still dominate traditional BI segment. More pervasive use of BI will lead to a shift from monitoring to decision making and analytics.
