Bystronic sets a demo center in Pune

Bystronic Laser India Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bystronic Laser AG, Switzerland has opened a new, Demo Center in Pune. Bystronic is a leading, worldwide supplier of high quality laser cutting systems, waterjet cutting systems, press brake systems, software and material handling solutions for the processing of metal and other sheet materials.

As an initial investment to ramp up the Indian operations Bystronic has invested over Rs 10 crore for the required machinery, infrastructure and spares.

The center was today inaugurated by Ferbi Tongi, CEO & president and Johann Ifanger, president – marketing, Bystronic Laser AG. Sanjay Kulkarni, managing director, Bystronic Laser India Private Limited was also present on the occasion.

 

Commenting on this, Sanjay Kulkarni, managing director, Bystronic India said, "The company is now looking at expanding its base in India by targeting some newly emerging segments for its products like textile machine manufacturers, construction equipment companies, railways and job shops and by complimenting it with the expansion in sales and service network."

This is the first Bystronic Demo Centre in India and will showcase the latest in technology being offered by Bystronic world over and will help building confidence in customers’ mind by giving them an opportunity to try the all new technology and products themselves at this centre.

Bystronic has chosen Pune to start this centre, as it is well connected to all the parts of the country and apart from it being a major auto hub, Pune also has a manufacturing base of construction equipment and earth movers.

Bystronic entered Indian market in the year 2008 by starting a subsidiary and today offers best in class cutting and bending machines as Laser, Waterjet and 3 types of Pressbrakes with the software support and after sales service.
