Camlin Q1 net down 34% at Rs 6 cr

Stationery company Camlin today reported a 34% decline in its net profit to Rs 6.25 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2011 as against the same period last fiscal.

The company said it had a net profit of Rs 9.53 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2010, Camlin said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

During the quarter under review, the firm had net sales of Rs 112.44 crore, down by 7% from Rs 120.86 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.

For the year ended March 30, 2011, the company had a net profit of Rs 8.58 crore while it had net sales of Rs 358.25 crore during the period.

 

Shares of Camlin closed at Rs 73.90 apiece on the BSE, down by 1.34% from the previous close.
