Indian consumer electronics firm Videocon's CEO Kwang Ro Kim today said he would consider extending his tenure if the promoters of the company were to offer an extension.
"I haven't got any extension offer. If I get any offer, I will consider seriously," Kim told PTI.
Kim said he has a contract with Videocon for three years, which is expiring in April next year.
He, however, denied reports of a rift between him and the Dhoot family, promoters of Videocon, stressing "there is no problem with them (Dhoots)".
Videocon Group Chairman Venugopal Dhoot could not be reached for comments.
Kim had joined Videocon in 2008, after he retired from LG Electronics India, having put in 10 years with that company. He is credited with the success of the South Korean consumer durables firm in India.
"In Videocon, I had put focus on innovation and quality, which it has to continue. Whoever takes up the leadership, he has to continue it," he said.
