Canara Bank FY07 net up 6%, Q4 net flat

Canara Bank today reported a 5.8% increase in net profit at Rs 1,420.81 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007 (FY07) as compared to Rs 1,343.22 crore in FY06.

According to the release issued by the bank to BSE today, total income during the fiscal has increased to Rs 12,815.51 crore from Rs 10,027.08 crore in FY06.

For the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2007 (Q4FY07), the bank posted a 2.3% increase in net profit at Rs 505.09 crore as against Rs 493.52 crore in Q4FY06. Total Income also rose to Rs 3,836.71 crore from Rs 2,786.59 crore in Q4FY06.
