Car sales decline 2% in Nov

Domestic passenger car sales declined 2.31% in November to 68,840 units from 70,468 units sold in November 2004.

Motorcycle sales, however, managed to clock a marginal growth of 0.97% at 4,83,884 units from 4,79,212 units sold in November 2004.

Commercial vehicle sales improved 5.52% to 28,010 units in November 2005 from 26,544 units sold in the corresponding month last year.

Hyundai suffered a decline of 11.89% in domestic sales at 13,950 units in November as against 15,834 units sold in the corresponding month last year.

Maruti Udyog, however, maintained its upward growth with an increase of 7.42% at 37,853 units in November 2005 as against 35,237 units sold in November 2004.
