Care Hospitals opens Rs 30 cr outpatient centre in Hyd

Hyderabad-based healthcare chain Care Hospitals has opened an outpatient centre, which it claims to be the country’s largest integrated centre. Set up with an investment of Rs 30 crore, this is Care’s 13th hospital.

The centre has 100 consulting rooms, six operation theatres, a 27-bed dialysis unit besides other specialties. It has a capacity to treat 3,000 patients per day, while currently it is getting 1,000 patients, N Krishna Reddy, chief executive officer of Care Hospitals, said.

Addressing the media here, Care Hospitals chairman and managing director B Soma Raju said, “The centre meets international standards and provides speciality consultations at an affordable cost.”

Care had raised $105 million (Rs 534 crore) last calendar year from US-based private equity major Advent International. The centre is the first step in Care’s expansion post Advent’s investment.

It will be formally launched by former President APJ Abdul Kalam on February 4.
