Lubricant major Castrol India's managing director Naveen Kshatriya has been appointed regional vice president of parent BP's transcontinental lubricant business. |
Kshatriya will continue as managing director of the Indian operations but will now be supported by a general manager, India, who will report to him, the company said in a press release. |
The transcontinental lubricant business includes South Asia, Middle East, Africa and Turkey. The region covers 20 countries spread across three continents and employs over 1,400 people. Its brand portfolio includes five major lubricant brands""-Castrol, Aral, BP, Duckhams and Veedol. |
Meanwhile, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that U DeSouza and R Pisharody, both wholetime directors of the company designated as operations director and marketing director, respectively, have resigned as directors of the company with effect from May 5, 2004. |
In his new position Kshatriya will report to BP group VP, lubricants, the head of the global lubricants business. |
He will also be a member of the global lubricants leadership team. Kshatriya joined Castrol India in 1998 as consumer business director and was later appointed marketing director of Asia Pacific Lubricants business, based in Hong Kong and Singapore. |
