Roberto Cavalli may abandon the sale of 30% of his fashion company to Clessidra SGR SpA because valuations for luxury goods makers are too low, the executive told Il Sole 24 Ore in an interview.
The sale price would be based on Roberto Cavalli SpA’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation of ¤4 mn for 2008, the designer told the financial daily. Given current multiples for the industry, Cavalli said he doesn’t think it’s worth selling now, the newspaper reported.
