"Investigations on service tax evasion are on, but no notice has been served on Jetlite," a senior Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) told PTI.

The future course of action, including serving a notice on the airline, will be taken only after completion of the investigation, the official said.

Meanwhile, the service tax directorate has summoned a senior executive of the company in connection with the service tax evasion, which according to certain reports amounts to Rs 100 crore.

Jet Airways acquired Air Sahara in 2007 and it rebranded the airline as Jetlite. The Jetlite officials were not available for comments.
