CBI mandates TCS for its core banking solution

The Central Bank of India (CBI) has partnered with TCS to implement Centralised Core Banking Solution at the CBI's 1000 branches in the country.

According to a release issued by CBI to the BSE, the solution to be implemented by the bank will include B@NCS from Sydney-based Financial Network Solutions (FNS) and Exim Bills Trade Finance software from China Systems.

As per the partnership deal, TCS will take care of  system integration, including networking and data centre set up. The software bellwether will also redesign and deploy a bank-wide corporate network covering about 1367 locations, by designing, building and maintaining the data center, disaster recovery center and facilities management services for the bank over the next 5 years.
