In Mumbai, the retail price of the 50 kg bag will improve by Rs 5-10 to Rs 140-145, while wholesale prices will see a rise by Rs 10 at Rs 130.

Retail prices had witnessed an increase of Rs 12 per 50 kg bag last week in Mumbai and eyeing another rise in the first week of October, according to industry sources.

Cement dealers say the price hike is on the back of restrained supply by major cement manufacturers such as the Associated Cement Companies, Gujarat Ambuja, Grasim Industries and Larsen & Toubro.
