The Central Bank of India slipped into a net loss of Rs 105 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2012. In the same period a year ago the lender's net profit was Rs 133 crore.
However, the total income increased 13% to Rs 5,372 crore from Rs 4,755 crore in March 2011.
The bank's net profit dipped 57.4% to Rs 533 crore for the financial year ended March 2012 as against Rs 1,252 crore in FY11.
However, the total income was up 24.6% at Rs 20,545 crore as against Rs 16,485 crore in FY11.
During afternoon trade the lender's scrip on BSE was trading 12% down at Rs 77.
