Buoyed by its continued high rate of production, Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) would take up four new projects this fiscal.

The four new projects are Magadh (20 Million Tonne capacity), Amrapali (12 MT), Konar (3.5 MT) and North Urimara (Birsa-3 MT), CCL Chairman-cum-Managing Director Gopal Singh said today.

"We have set a target of 53.5 MT for the current fiscal," he added.

The CCL has produced 48.061 MT in 2012-13 as against 48.004 MT the previous fiscal, he said at a press conference here.

The company has dispatched 52.892 MT, which is 4.831 MT more than the figure in the last financial year, registering 10.1% of growth.

In the beginning of 2012-13, the coal stock of CCL was 16.327 MT, which was liquidated to 4.823 MT by March 31, 2013, the CMD added.

The CCL, a Mini Ratna company, has observed the FY 2012-13 as dispatch year.
