Century Ply net rises 39% to Rs 43 cr in Q1

Plyboard maker Century Plyboards India today announced a consolidated net profit of Rs 42.89 crore in the first quarter ended June 30, 2009, up 39.07 per cent over the corresponding period a year ago.

The company had net profit after minority interest of Rs 30.84 crore in the June quarter last fiscal, Century Plyboards India said in a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Consolidated total income of the company increased to Rs 280.09 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 258.99 crore during the same period previous year, it said.

The company's standalone net profit after minority interest declined to Rs 18.62 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 22.27 crore in the same period previous year, it said.

 

Standalone total income dropped to Rs 161.85 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 167.73 crore in the same period last fiscal.

Shares of the company closed at Rs 42, down 0.47 per cent from the previous close on the BSE.
