Cera Sanitaryware posts 40.6% rise in Q2 net profit

Cera recorded a net sales income of Rs 261 crore in July-September this year as against Rs 232 crore in Q2 during 2015-16

Ahmedabad-based Cera Sanitaryware Limited (Cera) has reported a 40.6% growth in standalone net profit at Rs 25.14 crore for the second quarter (Q2) of financial year 2016-17, up from Rs 17.88 crore in the corresponding period last year.

Cera recorded a net sales income of Rs 260.98 crore in July-September this year as against Rs 231.98 crore in Q2 during 2015-16.

The company stated that an annualised earnings per share (basic and diluted) increased to Rs 77.33 per share in Q2 FY 2016-17 from Rs 55 apiece in FY 2015-16.

In the first half (H1) of current financial year, the company registered a 12.35% rise in sales to Rs 484.92 crore at the end of September 2016 as against Rs 431.60 crore in corresponding period last year. Net profit of the company during the H1 FY'16 increased to Rs 46.54 crore from Rs 33.54 crore in H1 FY'17.

 

Cera Sanitaryware's shares on BSE declined by 1.57% or Rs 42 to close at Rs 2,632.65 per share on Thursday.
