Cera Sanitaryware Q2 net up by 28%

Ahmedabad-based Cera Sanitaryware Limited has posted a 27.94 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs 6.09 crore for the second quarter ended September 30 of the financial year 2010-11, up from Rs 4.76 crore for the corresponding period last year.The company, which is into manufacturing sanitaryware, also saw a 20.85 per cent increase in its net sales at Rs 56.85 crore for the second quarter of current fiscal.

Last year, the company's net sales was around Rs 47.04 crore for the corresponding period.In the first half of current fiscal ended September Cera recorded a net sales income of Rs 107.64 crores, a jump of 23 per cent over Rs 87.28 crores earned during April-September 2009. The operating profit of the company at Rs 22.35 crore for the period under review was a huge 35 per cent rise over Rs 16.54 crores in the first half of last fiscal, the company said in a statement.
