CESC Q2 net up 35% at Rs 93cr

CESC, an RPG Enterprises' power utility and retailer, has posted a 34.7% growth in its standalone net profit at Rs 93 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2007 as against Rs 69 crore recorded in the corresponding period last year.

The company's net sales increased from Rs 675 crore to Rs 730 crore in the same period, thereby clocking a growth of about 8.15% while the total income rose from Rs 696 crore to Rs 756 crore.
