Real estate firm CHD Developers' is looking to expand its education business and plans to open around 500 pre-schools in the next five years across the country.
The company is looking at the franchise route for opening its 'Aadyant Global Pre Schools' in various cities and has started discussions with prospective clients for the project.
"We are aiming to set up around 500 schools under our umbrella within five years. The first phase will include setting up of 100 new pre-schools in over 25 cities across India by 2011," Aadyant Education (AEPL) Chairman R K Mittal said.
He said AEPL, the education arm of CHD Developers, has been running one pre-school in Delhi for the past few years and now wants to tap the market further.
"We have been running one pre-school in Delhi for some years and its success has prompted us to seriously consider expanding the process. We are looking at cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Chandigarh and Ludhiana, besides the NCR region as our potential market," he said.
AEPL has started discussions with various prospective franchise partners, he said, without providing details.
Mittal said the company is also in talks with other real estate firms to include Aadyant schools in integrated township projects. "We expect to announce a couple of such tie-ups in the next few weeks," he added.
