Chennai Petro, Divi's Labs & Nava Bharat Q2 results

Chennai Petro net up 54%
 
Chennai Petroleum Corporation has reported a growth of 54 per cent in net profit at Rs 196.43 crore for the quarter ended September 30 compared to Rs 127.79 crore in the same period previous fiscal. Net sales has grown by 84 per cent to Rs 5,458.60 crore from Rs 2,963.36 crore.
 
For the half year ended September 2005, net profit was higher by 48 per cent at Rs 430.42 crore compared with Rs 291.11 crore. Net sales reported a growth 75 per cent at Rs 10,153.06 crore compared with Rs 5782.70 crore.
 
Divi's Labs net up 18% to Rs 15.92 cr
 
Divi's Laboratories posted an 18 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 15.92 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005, as compared with Rs 13.48 crore registered in the corresponding quarter last year. Net sales increased by around 8 per cent at Rs 81.39 crore, as compared with Rs 75.47 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. EPS was at Rs 12.42, against Rs 10.52.
 
Nava Bharat net dips 73%
 
Nava Bharat Ferro Alloys registered a 73 per cent drop in net profit for the quarter ended September 2005 at Rs 10.45 crore, as compared with Rs 39.05 crore registered in the corresponding quarter in the last year. Sales also dropped 24 per cent at Rs 105.39 crore as against Rs 138.84 crore registered last year.
