Chennai Petro Q3 net down 76%

Chennai Petroleum Corporation today reported a 76% decline in net profit at Rs 21.28 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2005 when compared with Rs 88.26 crore in Q3FY05.

According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, total income increased to Rs 5,474.14 crore in Q3FY06 from Rs 4,111.73 crore in Q3FY05.

The board has declared an interim dividend of 30%, the release added.
