A three-member expert committee of the Indian Premier League (IPL) today visited Raipur and explored the possibilities of holding some of the matches in the state capital of Chhattisgarh.

The committee comprised IPL Tournament Director Dhiraj Malhotra, Delhi District Cricket Committee Secretary Sunil Dev and Chairman of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)’s ground and pitch committee, Daljit Singh.

“Following the request of the state government, the IPL organisers had sent the three-member team to explore the possibilities of holding matches in Raipur,” the members said. They would submit their report to the Board and the Governing Council, which would take the final decision.
